The Rural Schools Partnership, a program of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO), awarded $800 in a student–led community arts grant to the Lockwood School District. This grant was made possible by Conco Companies and Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
Lockwood High School band students will try to expand the alumni and community band which has had a presence in Lockwood for a number of years. The grant will be used to purchase music and possibly an instrument to enhance the band’s sound.
The Lockwood Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. Both organizations support asset development, community-based grant making, organizational collaboration, and leadership initiatives throughout southern Missouri.
