On Saturday September 26th, 2009, the Greenfield HS Marching Band loaded up on the bus and headed to Missouri Southern State University to participate in the University's homecoming parade.
This year's theme was "Go For The Green, Go For The Gold." The Greenfield Marching Band under the direction of Drum Major Courtney Rue, did an excellent job in the half-mile parade, earning compliments from the judges on their performance. The band received third place honors in their division. Band Director, Sheila Buus said, "I am very proud of the band, they have worked very hard and it is paying off." She invites the community to see the band at their next performance at the football game on October 16th and at the Greenfield Fall Festival on October 17th. Congratulations Greenfield Marching Band.
