Legacy Farm and Lawn of Lockwood held a safety day for the first graders in the area.

The schools that were able to attend were Round Grove, Golden City, Avilla, Lockwood, Immanuel Lutheran, and Greenfield. It was to show the kids different safety things that they should know not only in town but in the country as well. The seniors from the FFA in Lockwood were able to come out and help with this. The Barton county electric co. came with the power town and show the kids different things with the electricity, Lori from 9-1-1 came and was able to tell them how to call and what an emergency would be. Mike Baker for the grain safety, and Zeb Jordan from the conservation brought out a snake for the kids to see and know not to handle them.

I am not sure what all you want to write but that is the run down of the whole day it was planned to be outside but because of the weather some things were cancelled and the rest moved inside. Really all the kids had a blast!!
