Two women were transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield early Sunday following a head-on crash near Miller.
Karen Richter, 65, of Ash Grove, the driver and a passenger, Melody Waggoner, 50, of Everton, were stopped on Missouri 96, attempting to make a left turn when they were struck head-on by a pickup driven by Roy Haralson, 19, of Bolivar.
Waggoner’s injuries were listed as serious, Richter’s were moderate. Neither wore seat belts, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. Haralson was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, the patrol said.
