Search Warrant Results In Meth Lab Seizure

On September 17, 2009 the Dade County Sheriff’s Office and the Communuty Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 1157 East Dade 142, Everton, Missouri. As a result, a large methamphetamine producing lab, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, chemicals, glassware and hazardous waste associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine were seized  and/or destroyed. A private citizen contractor for the Drug Enforcement Administration was contacted to remove the large quantity of hazardous chemicals and waste.

Heavy equipment type vehicles that had been stolen from the Kansas City, Missouri area were located on the property as well. An arrest warrant has been applied for and continued investigation is pending, which is related to further narcotics violations and stealing offenses.

Earlier this same day, the CNET Drug Task Force and the Dade County Sheriff’s Office arrested Randy Price and Twila Shaffer of Greenfield on methamphetamine related charges stemming from a joint investigation with CNET on Operation Powder Keg.

The Dade County Sheriff’s Office wishes to thank all agencies, citizens and businesses involved with these cases. Information and assistance provided by alert citizens and businesses is valued and makes the counties small law enforcement agencies more effective.
