Golf Carts Stolen, Recovered

Two 17-year old Dade County men will fact possibly felony charges after stealing and destroying two golf cars in Greenfield over the weekend, Greenfield City Police Chief Tim Larkin said.

A Yamaha was taken from the Howard Bennett home at 408 Garrett Street Sunday night, August 2 and found in the creek at Fiddlers Ford, So. Greenfield by a fisherman Tuesday, August 4. Ryan and Jay Brown of Brown’s Wrecker Service  responded to the scene to recover.

The second, a Club Car, owned by Bob Holm, 510 Wells, was taken Saturday night, August 1 and discovered dumped over a bridge railing just east of So. Greenfield. The Holm vehicle was found Sunday evening by Mindy Hargis. Custom Classic Wrecker Service responded to the scene to recover.

No charges have been filed at press time.
