On April 16, 2009, at approximately 6:55 p.m., troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped the driver and passenger of a Volvo tractor-trailer unit in Jasper County near the 11 mile marker of Interstate 44. Both occupants of the vehicle were suspects in an armed robbery earlier on April 16 at Hoods Truck Stop on 1-44 in western Greene County.
Roy L. Busby, 45, Houston, Texas, and passenger Ricky A. Arthur, 27, Humble, Texas, were taken into custody without incident. Both were later turned over to the Greene County Sheriffs Department. The Jasper County Sheriffs Office and the Sarcoxie Police Department assisted.
The charges for which Roy L. Busby and Ricky A. Arthur were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
The Greene County Sheriffs Department is conducting the investigation of the armed robbery.
