Two Men Injured In Head-On Crash

Two area residents were injured in a head-on crash about noon Saturday at the north edge of Miller on Highway 39.

David Arnold of the Everton area was southbound when he crossed the center line and struck a northbound vehicle head-on driven by Stephen Alger of Miller, authorities said.

Alger and his young son, James, wore seat belts. Alger received a broken ankle and bruises but his son was uninjured.

Arnold wore no seat belt and received serious injuries, authorities said.

The injured were air-lifted to area hospitals for treatment.

Investigating the accident was Lt. Rick Abney.
