An ACRA & IPRA Rodeo, ACTHA Trail Horse Competition & Poker Run will be held at the Lazy P Arena near Lockwood on Thursday through Sunday, August 26-29, 2010.
There are 1,200 acres for wagon and trail riding, primitive camping and lots of fun. Forty-one electric and water hook-ups are available by reservation only. Shower houses are available. Vendors are welcome.
Thursday, gates open at 12 noon with open trail and wagon riding.
Friday’s events are organized trail rides, 4:00 p.m. Scott Daily Horsemanship Clinic, 8:00 p.m. ACRA & IPRA rodeo. Rodeo Queen and Princess Pageant with winners being crowned on Saturday night. At 10:00 p.m., live music with Justin Colvard & the Taste of Texas Band.
Saturday starting at 8 a.m., ACTHA Trail Horse Competition Ride (6 miles} with 6 obstacles will be held. Two Scott Daily Horsemanship Clinics will be held at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Poker Run trail ride begins at 3:30 p. m. with 90% payback to top 3 hands. The ACRA & IPRA Rodeo begins at 8:00 p.m. Rodeo Queen and Princess Pageant will be held with winners receiving a new horse trailer and saddle. Southern Green will perform live music at 10 p.m.
Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. the ACTHA Trail Horse Competition ride begins with Cowboy Church at 9 a.m.
