A Colby Shelton Benefit Bike Show was held Saturday, August 7, at the Crossroads Restaurant, just south of Miller, MO, with a large crowd in attendance.
There was food galore, pie and cake auction, silent auction, bounce house for the kiddies, dunking tank, raffles, a large bike show and great entertainment by the Corybel Country Band throughout the day.
All proceeds went to the Colby Shelton family to help with expenses involved in the treatment of Colby’s Lymphoma.
Colby is the 6-year old son of Lawrence County Deputy, Jake Shelton.
Trophies were awarded to the following bikers:
1st place - People’s Choice - Danny Presswood with his 2009 Station Trike. Danny also won a trophy for Best Custom Paint Job.
2nd place - Lester Ghram with his 2005 Orange County Chopper.
3rd place - Shane Burns with his 2004 Big Dog Chopper.
Trophies were also awarded to Glenn Baker for his Best Full-Dressed 2007 Heritage Bike.
Judi Burks for her Best Rat Rod Motorcycle and to Jan Baker for Soft Tail Harley, Best School Chopper.
A big thank you to Lance Burke for bringing his Iron Man Custom Truck.
A special thanks to Tim and Tracy Boyd and the many, many others who worked so hard to make this event a great success.
The First Annual Classic Car Show will be held at Crossroads Restaurant, just south of Miller at the junction of Hwy 39 & 96, on Saturday, September 25, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
