Dick Bear of Winston-Salem, NC, has designed and built, from the ground up “The McBearen”. The body is hand shaped aluminum consisting of 138 individually shaped pieces, welded together in the tradition of old school coach builders of the past.
Dick began a 25-day excursion across country in the McBearen Monday, July 26, to raise awareness and donations for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. “We hope making this near 8K trip in a home built vehicle will generate interest and support efforts of the Prostate Cancer Foundation.”
Dick is expected to be in the Lockwood area about noon on Wednesday, August 18, winding his trip down at Winston-Salem Friday, August 20.
