Floyd L. Crutcher, of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon, MO at the age of 88 years.
He was born on October 29, 1921 in Arcola, MO to Lucian and Gertie (Webb) Crutcher. Floyd served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was united in marriage to Betty Anne Martin on September 25, 1948 in Castle Rock, CO. Floyd was a lifetime farmer and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Lucian and Gertie (Webb) Crutcher; one brother, Earnest "Buster" Crutcher; and three sisters, Doris Lillian, Pearl Morrison, and Gertrude Barrow.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Anne (Martin) Crutcher of the home; two sons, Dan Crutcher and his wife Nancy of Willard, MO and Sam Crutcher and his wife Sandra of Greenfield, MO; two daughters, Susan Crutcher of Prescott, AZ and Kristi Wilson and her husband Sam Cedar Vale, KS; eight grandchildren, Matt Crutcher and his wife Amanda, Jared Crutcher, Ashley Wilson and his wife Julie, Evangelique Ioannides, Stephen Ioannides, Amanda Crutcher, Aubrey Wilson, and Falyn Crutcher; seven great grandchildren, Lucas Crutcher, Ryanne Crutcher, Evan Ioannides, Garrett Wilson, Gavin Wilson, Drake Wilson, and Danner Wilson; two sisters, Evelyn Whitley of Dixon, California and Betty Oldham and her husband, Bob, of Greenfield, Missouri; a host of nieces and nephews and their families; and many friends.
Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010 in Greenfield Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry Wheeler and Brother Rick Fincher officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with full military honors. The family received friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Free Will Baptist Youth Camp or to the American Cancer Society. Services were under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
