Emil L. Cantrell, long time resident of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Thursday, June 10, 2010 in St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 87 years.
He was born on November 11, 1922 in Cedar County, MO, to Otis and Mary (Twadell) Cantrell. He was united to his beautiful bride, Louise Willett on August 14, 1943 and was able to enjoy a blessed 67 years of marriage. They have one daughter, Vicki Stump of Lockwood.
He is survived by his wife, Louise, daughter, Vicki, sister, Myrl Hawks of Carthage, MO, two grandchildren, Jason Stump and Amber (Stump) Burton, five step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Emil serviced our country in the United States Army during WW II and was a member of the American Legion. He was a lifetime farmer and retired to Greenfield over 25 years ago. Emil was a member of the Christian Church for many years. Emil will be dearly missed but we are all at peace knowing he is well with our Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ.
