Looking for ways to keep down Water and Sewer rates, I have found another way with your help!
D.N.R wants our rates to be 2% of the average income which would be even higher than they are now to qualify for Government Grants.
They look at our rates and average income when we apply for grants. They also use the average income for our area which is the County average.
A very large percent of GREENFIELD residents are retired on social security and fixed incomes and we feel the average would be much lower than what D.N.R. uses and our average would be more in line with our rates!
I ask for and got CITY Council approval to have a Greenfield City survey done to verify a lower average income so we would qualify for D.N.R. grant money and keep your rates down! More details and survey forms will be mailed to all residents as soon as we can get everything organized.
