Greenfield J.H. Student Breaks 100 Meter Dash Record

Brendan Black, Greenfield Junior High eighth grader, broke the school 100 meter dash record at the Pierce City Middle School Invitational Track Meet held April 26th.

Brendan ran a time of 11.80, winning the event and besting the previous record of 12.16 set by Alex Morris in 2003. Brendan is the son of Tim and Annette Black of Greenfield. He is an Honor Roll student, in addition to track, he participates in football, basketball, band, FCA, and scholar bowl.
