The Greenfield Junior High boy’s track team finished a close second to host school, Pierce City, at the Spring Rivers Valley track meet held Thursday, April 29. The Wildcats scored 82 points to Pierce City’s 88.5. Boys who placed included: Austin Marshall (1st - Long Jump, 1st - 400 m, 3rd - HJ), Ben Emery (1st - 800 m, 2nd - 1600 m), Brendan Black (2nd - 100 m, 3rd - 200 m, 3rd - Discus), Trevor Dill (5th - 100 m, 5th - 200 m, 3rd - 4x400 Relay), Lane Hankins (4th - 100 m Hurdles, 3rd - 4x400 Relay), Coleman Whitaker (6th - 400 m, 3rd - 4x400 Relay), Carl Mason (3rd - 4x400 Relay), Hayden Shepard (5th - 1600 m), and Austin Davis (6th - Discus). Kelbey Davis, Brandon Gravelin, Hunter Montez, Jake Tullock, Jaylon Taylor and Austin Irwin rounded out the boy’s squad.

The GJH girl’s team scored 24 points, good for a 7th place finish. Girls who placed included: Madi Huskamp (3rd - 200 m, 5th - 100 m, 5th - 400 m, 4th - 4x200 Relay, Andria Buzbee (3rd - Discus), Sarah Burnam (4th - Discus), Ali Walters (4th - 4x200 Relay), Kaylee Daniel (4th - 4x200 Relay) and Cassidy Brown (4th - 4x200 Relay). Rounding out the Lady Wildcat team were Madi Stiles, Mikayla Henry and Karson Sims.
