Long Jump Record Falls

Austin Marshall, eighth grader at Greenfield Junior High, set a new school long jump record at the Spring River Valley Conference Track Meet at Pierce City on April 29. Austin, the son of Kevan and Cricket Marshall of S. Greenfield, leaped 18’3 1/2’ to better the previous mark of 17’11” by Jordan Bryant in 2006. Along with winning the long jump, Austin won the 400 m and placed 3rd in the high jump. Austin also competes in football and basketball and is in FCA.
