A Special Olympics team of Springfield proudly display medals won recently in both basketball and baseball while competing in games at Drury, Republic and the most recent, a gold at the state game in Wentzville, MO.
The Special Olympics team consists of players from different towns throughout the area and are coached by John Waterson of Springfield.
The team spends practice time at Evangel University, Springfield.
Team members are Devin Kinsey, Willis Trent, Thomas Williamson, David Williamson, Paul Ballard, Austin Weiskoph, Jason Parish and George Pittman.
