Rochelle Wallen Signs With Cottey College

On Friday, July 2nd, Rochelle Wallen, a 2009 graduate of Lockwood High School, signed a National Junior College Athletic Association Letter of Intent to play basketball for Coach Dave Koetterman and the Cottey College Comets in Nevada, Mo. While at Lockwood, Rochelle was Unanimous First Team All-Conference and All District and made the All Scoreboard Team for the 2009 District Championship squad. She scored over 1,000 points in her career.
Rochelle is the daughter of Chris & Pam Allen, of Lockwood, Mo.  and Paul Wallen, of Arcola, Mo. Rochelle originally attended St. Johns School of Nursing School upon graduation. She has decided to change her major to Psychology and play college basketball.
Coach Koetterman stated,”Rochelle will be a nice fit in out system. I like her athleticism. We have 5 girls back and Rochelle will have a chance to contribute right away.”
Rochelle is looking forward to the opportunity. She is excited to get back on the basketball court and be competitive once again.
