Margaret Virginia Roseman was born August 9, 1917, at Marshfield, MO, the only child of W. Scott and Nina (Allison) Smith, and passed away August 19, at St. John’s Hospital.


She lived in numerous locations due to her dad’s career in education but most  of her childhood was spent in Excelsior Springs. In 1935, she graduated from Butler High School and married E. J. Roseman. They lived in Bennett Springs, Carrollton, and St. Genevieve before establishing their home on a farm near Greenfield in 1940.  She did much of the farm work, was knowledgeable in livestock, and was an excellent mother and homemaker.  She was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.


Her husband E.J. in 1988 and her son, Jim in 2008, preceded her in death.


Survivors include her son John and his wife Jean of El Dorado Springs, daughter-in-law, Connie Roseman of Greenfield, six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.


Funeral services were 2 pm, Tuesday, August 23, at Greenfield Funeral Home. Burial followed at Wetzel Cemetery.


Memorials are suggested to Wetzel Cemetery or Dade County Nursing Home.
