Michael David Montgomery

Michael David Montgomery, of Springfield, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, April 26, 2018, in his home at the age of 38 years.

He was born on September 28, 1979, in Springfield, Missouri, to David and Regina (Robertson) Montgomery. Michael graduated from Greenfield High School in 1997 and attended Drury University. In school, he was known as “Professor.”
Michael was a talented musician and enjoyed researching his family genealogy. He was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Luke and Helen Robertson; his paternal great-grandparents, Morrison and Edra Montgomery and Bruce and Maureen Kilgore; his maternal great-grandparents, H.E. and Dolly Robertson and George and Ruth Hogland; and one uncle, Mark Robertson.

Survivors include his parents, David and Regina Montgomery of Greenfield, Missouri; two sisters, Michelle Merritt of Shawnee, Kansas and Melanie Kreher and husband, Adam, of Ozark, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Morrison and Barbara Montgomery of Greenfield, Missouri; four nieces and nephews, Olivia Merritt, Yukon Kreher, Isla Kreher, and Bowden Kreher; aunts and uncles, Douglas Montgomery and wife, Becky, of McKinney, Texas; Royce Robertson and wife, Lisa, of Pittsburg, Kansas; and Glenda Robertson of Greenfield, Missouri; four cousins, Nicole, Justin, Cody, and Emma; and host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Monday, April 30, 2018, in Greenfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Victory Mission or The Kitchen.
