Preston Paul Eagles

Preston Paul Eagles, age 54, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed awa ay at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born January 24, 1964, in Lockwood, Missouri, the son of Paul and Nelda (Helton) Eagles.

Preston was a 1982 graduate of Lockwood High School, in Lockwood, Missouri. He was a truck driver for Quality Transports in Halltown and Sasco Paving Company in Springfield, Missouri.
Preston loved spending time with his family, which included watching them play sports, riding horses, fishing and going to the lake. His wife and children were the loves of his life. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all.

On May 9, 1998, he married Kimberly Osmon in Mt. Vernon.

Preston is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kimberly; his mother, Nelda Eagles of Lockwood, Missouri; one sister, Darlene Washam and her husband, Joe, of Miller, Missouri; two daughters, Lauren Eagles and Olivia Eagles, both of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; one son, Taylor Eagles and his wife, Morgan and granddaughter, Ellee Taylor Eagles, of Springfield.

His father, Paul, sister, Kathy Eagles and father-in-law, Loyd Osmon, preceded him in death.

A memorial service under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon was held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the MARC in Mt. Vernon. Burial followed at the Summit Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home to plant flowers and trees in local parks in Preston’s name.
