Barbara Estelle Jones

Barbara Estelle Jones, of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, July 20, 2018, in the Dade County Nursing Home at the age of 85 years.

She was born on January 19, 1933, in Dade County, Missouri, to John H. and Esther M. (Wilkinson) West. 

Barbara graduated from Greenfield High School.  She was united in marriage to J.C. “Jimmy” Jones on March 30, 1963, in Greenfield, Missouri. 

Barbara worked many years as a switchboard operator for the Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon.  She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church.  Barbara had a great love for animals.

Preceding her in death were her parents, John and Esther West and her husband, Jimmy Jones.

Survivors include her sister, Paula “Suzanne” Griffin and her husband, Steve, of Moscow Mills, Missouri; her niece, Darla Morris and her husband, Keith, of Wentzville, Missouri; her great-niece, Taylor Morris of Wentzville, Missouri; and her great-nephew, Parker Morris.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 24, 2018, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel.  Burial followed in Greenfield Cemetery. 

The family received friends on Tuesday until service time in the funeral chapel.
