Willa Mae Dodson

Willa Mae Dodson, of Dadeville, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, January 24, 2019, in the Dade County Nursing Home at the age of 91.

She was born on November 3, 1927 in Dade County, Missouri, to Clyde H. and Rose Mary (Wolfe) Kirby. Willa Mae graduated from Dadeville High School. She was united in marriage to William Elwayne “Billy Wayne” Dodson.
Willa Mae was a talented seamstress, and had worked for Dunbrook Clothing for many years. She had served as treasurer for the Dadeville school district for 21 years. Willa Mae was a member of the Dadeville Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Clyde and Rose Mary Kirby; one infant son, William Eugene Dodson; and one brother, Kenneth Eugene Kirby.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Wayne Dodson; two sons, Wayne Dodson and wife, Brenda, of Everton, Missouri and Richard Dodson and wife, Eileen, of Republic, Missouri; one daughter, Rebecca Medcalf and husband, Phil, of Battlefield, Missouri; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 28, 2019, at the Dadeville Baptist Church. Burial followed in Dadeville Masonic Cemetery.
