Leo R. Miessner

Leo R. Miessner, 103, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in Springfield, Missouri.

Leo was born December 10, 1911, in Lockwood, Missouri. Leo served in WWII European Theater from 1941-1945. He was a mechanic and retired at age 62.

Leo is preceded in death by his loving wife, Inabelle (Farmer) Miessner; his parents; three sisters; and four brothers.

He is survived by his three daughters: Roxie Rogers; Rozetta Suttee and husband, Merril; Sundena Grimes and the late Michael Grimes; two grandchildren: Kevin Suttee and wife, Lisa, and Candi Bowman and husband, Charlie; three great grandchildren, Jacob Bowman, Tyler Bowman, and Emma Suttee; and lifelong friends Clovis and Eloise Haubein.

A graveside service was held Monday, October 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Sarcoxie Cemetery, Jasper County, Missouri. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
