Thomas Myron Walters

Thomas Myron Walters, of South Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 70.

Thomas was born on January 2, 1949, at the family home near Pennsboro, Missouri, to Myron and Josephine Walters. Thomas was the fourth of their eight children. He spent his childhood on the family farm and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1967. Thomas attended Missouri University at Columbia, Missouri, and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

Thomas farmed for the rest of his adult life in the Pennsboro community and was a life long member of the Pennsboro Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Parker Walters; his daughters, Laurie Mallory and Sarah (Stacy) Holland; and his two grandchildren, Braydon and Ava Holland. He is also survived by his siblings: Myra (Eric) Coleman, Dorothy Walters Farrington, Frederick (Kathy) Walters, Bishop (Shirley) Walters, Jane (Larry) Ebersol, Glenn (Janie) Walters, and Paul (Cheri) Walters; and a myriad of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 19, 2019 in the Pennsboro Christian Church. Burial followed in Pennsboro Cemetery.
