Joey Edward Pringle

July 23, 2019

Joey Edward Pringle, of Greenfield, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by his family and close friends at the age of 60.

He was born on February 28, 1959 in Moss Point, Mississippi to Lloyd and Elizabeth (Pongetti) Pringle. Joey spent his childhood and early adult years in Shelby, Mississippi and Columbus, Mississippi, with his six surviving siblings: Katie, Missy, Jill, Julie, Johnny, and Tommy. He moved to Greenfield, Missouri, in 1982 to live on the farm with his dad.

Joey and Cindy (Stidham) were married on November 19, 1988 and spent their life together in Greenfield.
Joey is survived by his wife, Cindy; their daughter, Josie Howard and Dustin with grandson, Tyler, of Greenfield; his step-son, Brandon Parks and wife, Rae, with grandsons Tristin, Braedon, and Gunner of Lamar; his ever faithful companion Yo dog; a collection of unique and valued friendships; along with a very special work family from Ample Industries, Inc.
Joey was a “give you the shirt off his back” kind of guy. He often referred to himself as “old school” which meant he opened the door for strangers, gave up his seat for the elderly, said please and thank you, and respected God and America. Joey absolutely loved to make people laugh, and has been heard doing a few impressions on occasion!

He enjoyed horseback riding, woodworking, fishing and hunting, time spent with his grandsons, but was well known for his passion for cutting wood.

A Celebration of All Things Joey Pringle will be held at their home, 43 Rt. H in Greenfield, Missouri, on Saturday, August 3, 2019, starting with a fish fry/wiener roast at 6:30 p.m., followed by a bonfire for all who wish to stay. Anyone who wants to share a story or memory of Joey will be welcomed to do so.
