Spring Weather Brings Out Thieves And Crooks

As the weather changes, we will soon be seeing more people wanting to do home repair and other work for you.

There are a lot of good people here in Dade County who are just making a living doing good work for people.

There are also a lot of dishonest people out there.

Please remember, when considering hiring someone to do work for you, be sure to ask for and follow up on references. Always ask friends, relatives and neighbors about how much you have been quoted to do the work and if they think the price is reasonable.

Never be pressured into those special limited time deals or ones that have to be done right now or the price will go up. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Never give personal information to anyone and never allow anyone to threaten to take your home over a bill that you did not agree to before the work was done. Do not allow strangers in your home unless you have invited them.
