Carolee (Bowman) Lyons

Carolee (Bowman) Lyons, of Greenfield, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the age of 84 years.

She was born on November 18, 1932, in Greenfield, Missouri, to Lewis M. Bowman and Ailie (Taylor) Bowman. Her family moved to California, and she graduated from Riverside High School.

Carolee married her husband, James Maurice Lyons, December 21,1951. They had two children: James Maurice Lyons, Jr., born in 1952 and Micel Amanda Lyons, born in 1956.

Carolee had a long career with Avon, eventually becoming a district manager and later as an interior designer for Ethan Allen. In retirement, Carolee and Jim moved back to Greenfield.

Carolee was preceded in death by her husband and son, both in 2013. She is survived by: her daughter, Micel; her grandson, Christopher; her sister-in-law, Janet; her daughter-in-law, Cindy; and a number of cousins and other relatives.

Carolee was a member of several groups over the years including PTA, leader with Girl Scouts of America, Potomac River Jazz Club, a gardening club, and an international foods club.

Graveside services were held Friday, May 5, 2017, in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 30, 2017, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
