Joyce Kay Perkins-Fried

Joyce Kay Perkins- Fried was born September 26, 1946, to Delbert & Juanita Pirtle-Perkins in Lockwood, Missouri. She passed away August 23, 2017 at the age of 70. She was a resident of Blue Springs, Missouri.

Joyce worked for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City for 32 years and retired in 2003. She was a great cook & had a special talent for baking. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts. Joyce cherished the time spent with her two grandchildren.

Survivors include daughter, Christina Rowell of Blue Springs, Missouri; grandchildren, McKenzie & Taylor Rowell, both of Blue Springs, Missouri; and one aunt, Naomi Perkins Shelton.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Perkins; mother, Juanita Perkins Scott; step-father, Harvey Scott; and a sister, Judith Ann Perkins.

Funeral services were Monday, August 28, 2017, at Meyers Funeral Chapel in Blue Springs, Missouri. Graveside service & burial followed at Brasher Cemetary, Jerico Springs, Missouri.
