Mary Elizabeth “Mary Jo” King Williams, of Miller, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, December 11, 2017, in her home at the age of 92 years.

She was born on June 24, 1925, in Dade County, Missouri, to Sterling Price and Blanche L. (McConnell) Scott.
Mary Jo graduated from Greenfield High School. She was united in marriage to Joe King on December 2, 1945, and to this union two children were born, Linda Lou and Joe Michael. They shared 49 years together. He preceded her in death. Mary Jo married George Williams in 2000.

Mary Jo worked as a sales representative for Avon for over 60 years. She had also worked for Food Fair for 12 years, Dunbrook Clothing for 4 years, and the Dade County Health Department for 12 years. Mary Jo also did volunteer work helping others for several years. She was a member of the Bona Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents: Sterling and Blanche Scott; her husband, Joe King; her son, Joe Michael King; her son-in-law, David Medley; one sister, Nola Prater; and one brother, Richard Scott.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Medley of Everton, Missouri; her husband, George Williams of the home; four step-children, Shirley Rogers, Mike Williams, Ben Williams, and Sam Williams; one granddaughter, Kendra Clift and husband, Scott; one grandson, Ashley Medley and wife, Angie; several step-grandchildren; four great-grandsons, Zach Medley, Zeb Medley, Zane Medley, and Briar Clift; one sister, June Walker of Branson, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 14, 2017, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. until service time in the funeral chapel.
