Mary M. Myers

Mary M. Myers, known by her granddaughter as “Sen”, 98, Carthage, Missouri, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 31, 2017, with her loving family at her bedside.

Mary Maxine Coble was born April 4, 1919 in Walnut Grove, Missouri, to the late Albert F. Coble and Bernice (Simmons) Coble. She was a 1937 graduate of Everton High School.

Mary was united in marriage to Donal M. Myers on November 10, 1939, in Ash Grove, Missouri. They celebrated 78 years of marriage on November 10, 2017. Mary was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a client of Jody Mitchell, who cut her hair for 40 years.

Mary Maxine is survived by her very loving husband, Donal, who took the best care of his wife during her sickness. Additional survivors include her daughter, Katherine Sue Goettel, Carthage, Missouri; granddaughter Kendra Sue Goettel-Clements (husband, Jay), Carthage, Missouri; one sister, Linda Lee Mallory, Willard, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. Also, she had a very good caregiver, Janice Huntley, Mercy Hospice, and a wonderful neighbor, Lynn Alumbaugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dorothy O’Kelley;and one brother, Gordon Coble.

Visitation was Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. Rev. Ron Franklin and Rev. Thad Beeler officiated. Interment followed the service at Park Cemetery, Carthage.
