Dorothy M. Lewis

Dorothy M. Lewis, 92, of Pittsburg, Kansas, went to be with her Lord at 7:17 pm, Friday, July 24, 2015, at Golden living Center in Pittsburg.
She was born April 29, 1923 in Lockwood, Missouri, the daughter of Willis and Reatha (Berry) Pierce.
On July 6, 1942, she was united in marriage to Oral Raymond Lewis in Greenfield, Missouri; he preceded her in death May 1987.
Dorothy lived in Greenfield, Missouri from 1969 to 1986 when she moved to Pittsburg.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Tabernacle for many years.
She also was a devoted supporter of the D.A.V.
Survivors include five daughters: Myrna Cameron of San Tan Valley, Arizona; Rebecca Hulen of Warsaw, Missouri; Linda Lewis of Pittsburg; Patricia King of Miami, Oklahoma; and Deborah Humble of Pittsburg; two sons: Donald Lewis of Highlandville, Missouri and Robert Lewis of Pittsburg; two brothers: Russell Dean Pierce of Unionville, Virginia and Ed Pierce of Pittsburg; two sisters: Marie Grassman of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jean Shaw of Greenfield, Missouri; along with 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Raymond and Robert Pierce; and a sister, Martha Hare.
Funeral services were held 10 am, Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Lighthouse Tabernacle with Rev. Daryl Gaddy officiating. Burial followed in the Lockwood Cemetery, Lockwood, Missouri. The family received friends at the Church from 9 am until service time on Tuesday.
