Allen Dee York

Allen Dee York was born July 9, 1931, to parents Rev. William H. and Myrl (Hughes) York of Hannon, Missouri. He departed this life on August 30, 2015, at the age of 84 years in the same bed he was born in.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona L. (Bough) York; sons and wives: Benny and Jeanette York, F. Dale and Jonna York, Mark York, Matthew and Heather York; daughter, Rebecca York; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elizabeth; and brothers, William and Thomas.
Dee was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force 1951-1954, where he was trained for the senior metals processing specialist field.
He remained after graduation to be a welding instructor and earned several awards.
He served as Southern Commissioner of Cedar County for several terms in office beginning in 1977.
Dee owned and operated the York Metalworking Business in Stockton since 1961.
He was married in the church in 1952, and was a member since 1961, and served as teacher for the Independence Free Will Baptist Church for most of his adult years until his death.
Visitation was held Tuesday, September 1, at the Brumback Funeral Home. Services were held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2nd, at Independence Free Will Baptist Church (rural Stockton). Burial was held at Wagner Cemetery.
