Winifred “Winnie” Smith

Winifred “Winnie” Smith, of Ash Grove, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, December 10, 2018, in her home at the age of 86 years.

She was born on July 21, 1932 in Cedar County, Missouri, to Oliver and Elsie (Worthington) Neely. Winnie graduated from Dadeville High School in 1949.
She was united in marriage to Harold Smith on October 15, 1949 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Winnie owned and Operated the Dadeville Café in Dadeville, Missouri, for many years. She was a member of the Dadeville United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Oliver and Elsie Neely; her husband, Harold Smith; one son, Gene Smith; three brothers, Joe, Virgil, and Obie; and four sisters, Lois, Sylvia, Esther, and Birtie.

Survivors include six sons: Steve Smith of Missouri; Allen Smith of Omaha, Nebraska; Randy Smith of North Branch, Michigan;, Gerry Smith of Grand Island, Nebraska; Perry Smith of Billings, Missouri; and Wes Smith of Aurora, Nebraska; one daughter, Becky Mickey of Columbus, Nebraska; two brothers: Kenneth Neely of Dadeville, Missouri and Tim Neely of Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 17, 2018, at the Dadeville United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery.
