Lita J. Boots Hudspeth

Lita J. Boots Hudspeth, of Lockwood, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in the Good Shepherd Nursing Home at the age of 88 years.

She was born on March 18, 1927, in Greenfield, Missouri, to Lloyd L. and Emma E. (Bennett) Anderson.

Boots was united in marriage to Earl Dean Hudspeth on October 30, 1949, in Lockwood at the Kings Point Baptist Church. She was a member of the Lockwood First Baptist Church and the American Legion Roy E. Carr Post #372 Auxiliary. Boots enjoyed quilting, playing cards, and working puzzles.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lloyd and Emma Anderson; her husband, Earl Dean Hudspeth; and five brothers: Lloyd Bus Anderson, David Anderson, Troy Anderson, Billy Anderson, and Bobby Anderson.

Survivors include one son, Troy Hudspeth and his wife, Valerie, of Lockwood, Missouri; one daughter, Linda Heilman and her husband, Paul, of Duncan, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren: Maria Spoering and her husband, Ryan; Marcus Heilman and his wife, Jerri; Adam Heilman and his wife, Amber; Andrew Hudspeth; Jason Hudspeth; Jarica Oeltjen and her husband, Phillip; and Brooke Hudspeth; six great-grandchildren: Briana, Cyrus, Kamryn, Henry, Lucy, Bishop, and one on the way; two sisters-in-law: Daythel Anderson of Greenfield, Missouri and Frances Hudspeth of South Greenfield, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015, in the Lockwood First Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Pennsboro Cemetery.

Friends called at their convenience on Friday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
