Denzel Faye Helmar

Denzel Faye Helmar, of Lockwood, Missort, departed this life on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 91.

She was born on September 30, 1927, in Fair Play, Missouri, to Henry and Lee Ora (Williams) Wallen. Faye was united in marriage to Douglas Wayne Helmar, Sr., on February 26, 1955, in Oakdale, California. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Lee Ora Wallen; her husband, Douglas Helmar Sr.; one daughter, Janis Stirm; one son-in-law, Mark Kenedy; three brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas Helmar Jr. and Darrell Helmar; two daughters, Sharon Brooks and Diane Kenedy; one son-in-law, Vernon Stirm; one brother, Dale Wallen; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services were held Monday, February 25, 2019, in the Hartley Cemetery at Masters, Missouri.
