Eugene Gene Jarrett

Eugene Gene Jarrett of the Ballard Community near Urich, Missouri, was born June 10, 1935 in Tulare, California, the son of Wayne and Lucille (Cowan) Jarrett.

He departed this life on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at his home at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 17 days.

On January 9, 1976, Gene was united in marriage to Patti Jeanne (Morris) Thomas in Harrisonville, Missouri.

Gene owned and operated Mod & Fab in Harrisonville, Missouri, since 1976. Earlier he was employed at Ace Electric and Torotel and Solo Cup Company.

Gene was a 1954 graduate of Norwood High School, Norwood, Missouri. He was a member of the NRA and an avid deer hunter. Gene enjoyed the outdoors and took his sons on several hunting trips to Colorado.

Gene was a very caring husband, a compassionate dad, a loving papa and a child of God.

Gene had lived in Harrisonville before moving to the Ballard Community.

Besides his parents, Gene was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Allen Jarrett; a grandson, Miles Thomas; and a brother, Richard Jarrett.

Gene is survived by his wife, Patti J. Jarrett of the home; three sons: Sam Jarrett and wife, Cindy, of Urich, Missouri; Marshall Jarrett and Kenneth Jarrett, both of Stockton, Missouri; three daughters: Sandy Cornine and husband, Tim, of Marshall, Missouri; Marie Freeze and husband, Mark, of Greenfield, Missouri; Becky King and husband, Bill, of Chilhowee, Missouri; two stepsons: Mark Thomas, and wife, Kathy, of Belton, Missouri; Mike Thomas and wife, Missy, of Kearney, Missouri; a step-daughter, Michelle Foreman, Branson, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three sisters: Margaret Wooden of Bakerfield, California; June Gentry of Selma, California; Mary Jarrett, State of Arkansas; other relatives; and a host of friends.
