Harold Lyndol Gray

September 10, 2019

Harold Lyndol Gray, 69 of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this earth on September 8, 2019, at home, surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer.

Harold was born on July 29, 1950 in Aurora, Missouri, to William and Reitha Gray. He spent his childhood in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1968. He went on to complete a program for Nuclear Medicine at Kansas University. He was united in marriage to Jane Brown Gray on May 31, 1973.

Harold is survived by wife, Jane; son, Gabriel Gray and wife, Jill, of Greenfield; daughter, Whitney Roseman and husband, Mark, of Olathe, Kansas; six grandchildren: Roy and Emory Roseman, in addition to Cannon, Creed, Cicely, and Ceylor Gray; siblings: Gaylan Gray and wife, Sherry; Glendon Gray and wife, Martha; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, William and Reitha, as well as siblings Michael Gray and Patricia Gray Keener.

Harold found great joy in his grandchildren. Part of the legacy that he leaves to them is his love for youth sports. He and Jane traveled many miles to take in baseball and basketball games for Roy, Emory, and Cannon. If he could not attend, he did not miss a chance to review the happenings of the games with the kids at the first chance. Throughout the lives of Gabe and Whitney, Harold could often be found on the sidelines, coaching the team.
In honor of Harold, and in lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Greenfield Youth Activities Association (GYAA).
