Linda Kaye Langston

Linda Kaye (Odell) Langston, of Lockwood, Missouri, departed this life Monday, November 18, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, after an extended illness at the age of 71.

Linda was born August 30, 1948 in Lockwood, Missouri, to Joe and Alieen (Litle) Odell. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockwood and graduated Lockwood High School in 1966.

After graduation, she worked at the soda fountain of the Lockwood Pharmacy, then at Farmers State Bank in Lockwood. It was there that she met Charles Langston, who she married on December 13, 1975. They raised two children together, Paula and Darrin, and Linda often served as a room mother, going to class parties and on field trips, and never missed her children’s school activities.

Linda loved drawing, playing with her dogs Addie, Bo, and Buster, watching the cows, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Alieen Odell. Survivors include her husband, Charles Langston of the home; daughter, Paula Wall and her husband, Russell, of Clever, Missouri; son, Darrin Langston and his wife, Audrey, of Lockwood, Missouri; sister, Barbara King and her husband, Duane, of Bolivar, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019, in Lockwood Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. in Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
