Mearl E. Bratcher

Mearl E. Bratcher, 89 of Dadeville, Missouri, passed away on Monday evening, December 7, 2015, in CMH Health Care, Bolivar, Missouri.
Mearl, the son James and Ona Bratcher, was born May 26, 1926 at Dawt, Missouri, near Gainesville, Missouri. He lived in various areas in Missouri, residing in the Ash Grove and Dadeville areas for the past forty years.
He was a federal meat inspector for 35 years. He was a member of the Eudora Baptist Church where he enjoyed the fellowship study of the Adult Sunday School Class. He was a 50-year member of the Kansas City Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M.. Mearl was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Germany in the 3rd Armor Division.
Mearl and Irma F. Conner (the love of his life) were united in marriage on August 29, 1959. To this union, one son was born. Together they were privileged to share over 52 years. Irma preceded him in death on March 12, 2012. Also, preceding him were his parents; two brothers: Earl and Charlie Bratcher; and two sisters: Bertha Bratcher and Esther Fields.
He is survived by his son, Kenny Bratcher.
Even though Mearl and Irma did not have grandchildren of their own, God blessed them throughout the years with adopted grandchildren. Both sides of these adopted families lives were enriched by the love they shared together.
Mearl was also blessed to be able to stay at home (except for the last few weeks) due to the love and care of a special friend, Bonnie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Eudora Baptist Churchs Building Fund.
Services were held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Eudora Baptist Church with Rev. Jim White officiating with interment following in Eudora Cemetery, under the care and direction of Wilson Brim Daniel Funeral Home, of Walnut Grove, Missouri.
Friends may call after 12:00 noon on Saturday in the church.
