The Vedette Recognized by Missouri Press Advertising and Marketing Executives (MPAME)
This past weekend, The Vedette was scheduled to be recognized in the Missouri Press Advertising and Marketing Executives Annual Meeting (MPAME, formerly Missouri Advertising Managers’ Association, MAMA), which was scheduled for April 23-24, at Camden on the Lake in Lake Ozark with awards for outstanding advertising published in print and online during the 2019 calendar year.
Since the CDC has advised that all events/gatherings of over 50 people be cancelled/postponed, that means the freshly rebranded Missouri Press Association Marketing Executives annual meeting will need to be delayed as well. Those earning MPAME awards are slated for recognition during the annual Missouri Press Better Newspaper Conference in September.
Specifically, The Vedette staff took home three first place awards this year, one in the “Best Special Section Cover Design” category, “Best Multimedia Campaign” and “Best Advertising Sales Tool” among small weeklies, three second place awards for “Best Shared/Signature Page,” “Best Single House Ad” and “Best Ad Smaller than a Full Page,” as well as one Honorable Mention for “Best Classified Section.”
1st Place - Best Special Section Cover Design: Back to School Edition
1st Place - Best Multimedia Campaign: Vedette Game of the Week
1st Place - Best Advertising Sales Tool: Reindeer Greetings Flyer
2nd Place - Best Shared/Signature Page: Buffalo Days 2019
