James A. Ryssemus

James A. Ryssemus, of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, in his home at the age of 84 years.

He was born on December 2, 1931, in Overschie, Holland, to Peter and Johanna (VanEs) Ryssemus.

James was united in marriage to Shirley A. Jones on May 1, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Peter and Johanna Ryssemus; and two sons, Randall Ryssemus and Phillip Ryssemus.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ryssemus, of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Ryssemus of McAllen, Texas and Stephan Ryssemus of Bettendorf, Iowa; two brothers, Henk Ryssemus of California and Jan Ryssemus of California; one sister, Lea Ryssemus of California; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
