Grant Money Available for Small Businesses and Farms

The Missouri Department of Economic Development on July 14, 2020 announced a new grant program for Missouri small businesses and family owned farms. Up to $30 Million is set aside to provide relief for reimbursement of cost of business interruption caused by the the COVID-19 Virus.

In the grant program $7.5 million is targeted to family owned farms agriculture crops, livestock, livestock products, poultry, dairy or horticulture. Eligible grants can go to business or farms that employ 50 or fewer employees and are limited to $50,000. Costs incurred due to Covid-19 between 3-1-20 and 11-15-20 Applications are accepted beginning July 15, 2020 and the grant is focused on retail trade, accommodations, food service and health care and family owned farms.
