Roger Lynn Hall

Roger Lynn Hall, of Dadeville, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 72.
He was born on April 16, 1948 in Greenfield, Missouri, to Woodrow “Woody” E. and Doris (Freedle) Hall. Roger graduated from Dadeville High School.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from S.B.U., and his Master’s Degree in Education Administration from S.M.S.
Roger was united in marriage to LaDonna Kay Vance on December 29, 1970 in Walnut Grove, Missouri. This coming December would have been their 50-year ynniversary.
He began his teaching and coaching career in Willow Springs, Missouri. Roger was fortunate after just his first year beginning his career, that he had the opportunity to move back home and begin his long tenure at the Dadeville School District in 1975. He retired as the School Principal for K through 12 in 2005. Throughout his career he taught history and geography, served as athletic director, and would substitute coach. Roger and his wife, LaDonna, enjoyed going on senior trips for 30 years.
After his retirement, he was still very involved with the Dadeville School District. Roger was the voice of the Dadeville Bearcat basketball games. He was nicknamed “Mr. Bearcat” and attended over 2,000 ballgames. Roger also enjoyed helping with homecomings, graduation, and school carnivals. He was very passionate and cared for the school, and loved his kids. Roger also was lifetime cattleman and farmer. He loved his farm, and enjoyed caring for his cattle.
Survivors include his loving wife, LaDonna Hall of the home; and his little buddy, Rowdy. Preceding him in death were his parents, Woodrow and Doris Hall; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Ruth Vance; two aunts, Lydia Carlock and husband Don, and Hazel Dunn; and a special cousin, Debbie Cartwright.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020, in the Dadeville Baptist Church. Burial followed in Hampton Cemetery.
