Raymond Leonard Hall

Raymond Leonard Hall, age 93, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away February 22, 2016.

Raymond was born February 8, 1923, in Golden City, Barton County, Missouri, to Charles Fremont Hall and Mary Catherine Covert Hall.

As a child, Raymond grew up in the Lockwood and Greenfield, Missouri, areas.

On September 30, 1949, he married Naomi Ailene (Tindall) Taylor and two children were born to this union: a boy, Lynn Allen and a girl, Lisa Rae.

Raymond was a U. S. Army WWII veteran. He was with the 801st engineers in Europe and the Pacific and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service during the air offensive in Europe.

After the war, he returned to Dade County, Missouri and resumed his life as a married man.

He worked for Masters and Jackson Paving and Greystone/Conco Quarries in Willard, Missouri, where he was promoted to a supervisor position. Raymond retired in 1995.

Raymond will be missed for his sense of humor and quick wit.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Ailene; his son, Lynn; his daughter, Lisa Hall Calvin; son-in-law, Tim Calvin; his sisters: Georgia Hall Daughtrey Burlison, Grace Hall Rhoads, Irene Hall Murphy, Margaret Hall Grider Divine and Nellie Hall Parker; and his brothers: Robert Hall and Truman Hall.

Raymond is survived by his nephew, Charles Daughtrey and wife, Glenna; great-niece, Tamara Daughtrey; great, great-nephew, Zach Daughtrey; step-daughter, Charlene Short (Alan) and family; step-daughter, Billie Taylor (John) and family; sister-in-law, Betty Lasater and husband; and many loving nieces and nephew residing in Texas.

A graveside service, under the direction of Birch Funeral Home of Ash Grove, Missouri, was held Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Ash Grove Cemetery in Ash Grove, Missouri.
