Joe Everett McGee

Joe Everett McGee, of Dadeville, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 88 years.

He was born on February 3, 1928, in Dade County, Missouri, to Leslie Everett and Minnie Ellen (Curtis) McGee.
Joe served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War as a medic for the 1st Calvary. He earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri. Joe was a retired public school teacher, and a lifetime farmer.
He was united in marriage to Eva Jacqueline Alexander in 1951, and she preceded him in death. Joe was united in marriage to Martha Kathleen (Davis) Rauch in 1984.
He was a member of the Dadeville Methodist Church, the Washington Lodge #87 A.F. & A.M, the Everton American Legion, and the Missouri Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen McGee; two sons: Mike McGee and his wife Mary; and Mark McGee and his wife Kelli; three step-sons, Jerry Rauch, Mike Rauch, and Bill Rauch; two step-daughters, Phyllis McConnell and Glenda Climer; three grandsons; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016, in the Dadeville Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Wheeler Cemetery.
The family received friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Dadeville Baptist Church.
