Lloyd L. Sanders

Lloyd L. Sanders, 90, Miller, Missouri, died at home on Saturday, February 27, 2016. He was born on July 29, 1925, in Miller on his parents’ family farm to Homer and Pluma Sanders.

He resided his whole life on the family farm. He served on the Miller School Board, as an election judge and other community activities.

He was a graduate of Miller High School. During World War II, he served in the United States Army in the Asiatic Pacific campaign and the Philippine Liberation campaign. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.

He married Wilma Brown on December 20, 1950. She survives at the home, with granddaughter, Kaytlynn.

Additional survivors include four children and spouses: Gary and Ruth Sanders, Sheila and Earl Dunham, Lisa and Bill Rose and Shane Sanders; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Burial followed at the Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation was held prior to the service, in the funeral home chapel.
