Collector's, Treasurer's Offices Closed in Dade County Due to COVID-19

by Staff Reports

Dade County Collector Rod O'Connor announced earlier this week that his office and that of the Dade County Treasurer were both closed this week due to the exposure of office staff to COVID-19. The offices will reopen on Jan. 3, 2022.

O'Conner said that payment of county property taxes, otherwise due by Dec. 31, would be accepted without penalty the week of Jan. 3, 2022, due to the unplanned closure.

Additionally, there are other options for payment of property taxes, including by check via the drop box in the door to the Treasurer's office in the Dade County Courthouse on the Greenfield square, via the United States Postal Service, or using the online system at dadecountymo.com.
