Jean Marie Preston Chambers

Jean Marie (Preston) Chambers formerly of Greenfield, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, in Mercy Villa, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 64.
She was born December 13, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Smith and Jane Preston. Jean grew up in the Pennsboro area. She was baptized and was a member of Kings Point Baptist Church.
Jean graduated from Greenfield High School in 1969 and went on to attend nursing school, obtaining her LPN license in 1978. Jean took great pride in her nursing career and has been a comforting soul to all she tended to. Jean loved to read and always had a book nearby. She also enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.
Jean was preceded in death by her brother, David Smith Preston.
Left to mourn her passing are her parents, Smith and Jane Preston of Springfield, Missouri; brothers, Darrell Preston and wife, Rhonda, of Greenfield, Missouri; Danny Preston and wife, Pat, of Branson, Missouri; son, Derick Smith Stivers of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; daughters, Jennifer Lee (Stivers) Wright of Springfield, Missouri, and Julie Ann (Chambers) Wilson and husband, Ashley, of Greenfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Hunter Stivers; Tanner Daniel; Christopher, Colton and Madison Jane Wright; Garrett, Gavin, Drake, and Danner Wilson; great-grandchildren, Zachary Lee and Kathryn Wright; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016, in the Kings Point Cemetery, Lockwood, Missouri. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in honor of Jean Marie (Preston) Chambers can be made to Mercy Villa, Springfield, where Jean was blessed with many loving, caring, kind-hearted, compassionate nurses and doctors or Mercy Hospice who cared for her lovingly.
